TikTok was investigated for privacy invasion
The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) said it is conducting an investigation into TikTok over allegations that this social network is collecting data to violate privacy rights and security policies.
According to the investigation agency, TikTok has violated the Law on the Protection of Children in Cyberspace, one of its provisions stipulates that the collection of data information for children under 13 years old is required. controlled by parents.
In addition, the FTC is also investigating whether TikTok violates the terms of fair free trade competition, implying that the data collected by this social network can be used for other purposes, by some other specific individuals. Specific allegations will be announced soon by the FTC, according to a representative of this agency. For its part, TikTok's representative has not commented yet.
