In Roblox Ride a Dino, mutation and size are separate traits that can affect a dinosaur's sale value and earning rate. Compare both labels and the actual displayed income before deciding which dinosaur to keep. The same species can be worth more or less depending on these traits.

Mutation multipliers
The following values are reported for the Meteor Shower update. They are a reference for comparing variants, not guaranteed spawn odds. Check the current game display after an update.
| Mutation | Reported value / earnings multiplier | Reported availability |
|---|---|---|
| Silver | 1.25× | Random spawns across biomes |
| Golden | 1.5× | Random spawns across biomes |
| Rainbow | 2.25× | Less common random spawns |
| Magma | 4× | Certain biome spawns; increased availability reported during Meteor Shower |
| Spectral | Unconfirmed | Listed in update-era guides as not obtainable; check the live game |
A 1.25× multiplier means 25% above the baseline, while 4× means four times the baseline. Neither value tells you how often the mutation will spawn. “Rare” or “high chance” descriptions should not be treated as a published probability.

Size multipliers
| Size | Reported multiplier compared with Normal |
|---|---|
| Normal | 1× baseline |
| Tiny | Reduced value; the exact interpretation of the reported “0.25× lower” figure is unclear |
| Big | 1.5× |
| Giant | 3× |
| Huge | 5× |
| Colossal | 10× |
Do not read “0.25× lower” as a confirmed formula. It could be confused with either a quarter of the original value or a reduction from it. Inspect a Tiny dinosaur's actual rate and compare it with a Normal dinosaur of the same species before making a sale decision.

How mutation and size combine
Current community guides describe the bonuses as additive and commonly give Golden + Big = 3×, using 1.5 + 1.5. That is a reported game rule, not a general rule for multiplying bonuses. Do not multiply the two values automatically or extend the example to every combination without checking.
For a useful comparison, record the baseline rate for a Normal, unmutated dinosaur of the same species, then compare the variant's displayed rate. Account for any other active boosts. The actual rate is more useful than a calculation based on uncertain stacking rules.
Choose by the goal, not appearance alone
- For income: Compare displayed earnings with the dinosaur you would replace.
- For collecting: A low-income variant may still matter to your collection; check before selling it.
- For event hunting: Check the live Meteor Shower notice and mutation labels rather than assuming Magma spawns are guaranteed.
- For limited resources: Consider the effort and taming cost as well as the final income.
The mutation and size reference documents the reported values. Treat unconfirmed entries and ambiguous wording conservatively until the game provides a clear figure.
