In Roblox's Fake an Egg, your main source of in-game cash is the pets earning in your pen. Hatch or obtain pets, equip useful earners and compare the cost of your next upgrade with the income it adds. This is game currency, not a way to earn real money.
Check that you are opening Fake an Egg by Slime Time Studios. Similar titles and copied experiences can have different mechanics.

Start with the tutorial pet
Follow the Bunny Egg tutorial: take the egg to your pen, place it in an available hatching spot and equip the pet once it hatches. Check its displayed income so you know your starting rate.
When purchasing more eggs, read the price and rarity before paying. Players can disguise themselves as eggs, so use the scanner system where available and check the scanner's supported rarity. A more expensive-looking egg is not automatically a safe purchase.

Check the shark reward in-game
The caged shark near the center has been offered through a like-and-group-join reward. Inspect its current prompt before acting; eligibility and availability can change. If it is available and you choose to meet the requirements, claim it and compare its income with your equipped pets.
Use only the group linked by the official experience. Do not enter your Roblox password on an outside “reward” page or pay someone who promises to unlock it.
Rebirth when the trade-off makes sense
The game's rebirth system has been described as resetting cash while retaining pets, with permanent progression bonuses. Read the confirmation panel every time: it is the place to verify what resets, the requirements and the reward in the current version.
Before buying an expensive egg or pen upgrade, compare it with your next rebirth goal. If you are close to meeting the requirements, spending that cash first may delay progress. Do not rely on a fixed starter-pet requirement from an older guide.
Improve the pets you actually equip
Open the Pets menu and compare the displayed earning rates. If an equip-best option is available, use it as a starting point and confirm which pets are active. Owning a stronger pet does not help the pen if it is left unequipped.
When space is full, compare two options: replace the lowest earner or buy another slot. A slot adds value only when you have a pet ready to use it. Buying several slots at once is not inherently more efficient than buying one useful slot now.
Before selling a pet, check whether it is needed for rebirth, collection or another system. Unequip the intended pet and verify the sale selection so you do not remove a useful one accidentally.

Use the feeder and claim rewards
When your feeder is unlocked, inspect its current bonus and food cost. Feed the pen if the extra cash earned during the effect is worth more than the food you spend. Do not assume every food gives the same percentage or that an old maximum bonus still applies.
Open the Index periodically and claim completed discovery rewards. Check its pet, weather and mutation entries if those categories are present in your version. A reward that needs a Claim action may remain uncollected even after its objective is complete.
Protect progress and check offline earnings
Taking another player's pet is an in-game mechanic, but it carries the risk of being stopped before returning home. Focus on a reliable pen economy before depending on successful steals. Remember that other players can target your pets too.
If the game offers offline earnings, read the displayed duration, cap and claim conditions. Compare the amount on return instead of assuming income grows indefinitely while you are away.
A useful spending order
- Complete the tutorial and get pets earning.
- Claim any currently available starter and Index rewards.
- Compare your next rebirth with the next purchase.
- Replace weak equipped pets or add a slot when the gain justifies the cost.
- Check feeder value and repeat with your new income rate.
Use the current price, income and reset information shown in the game. That gives you a more dependable plan than chasing fixed figures from an older update.
