Nintendo has officially announced  Star Fox , a cinematic remake of the classic game Star Fox 64, exclusively for the next-generation Switch 2 console.

Campaign Mode

You can choose the difficulty level from Easy to Normal when you start honing your skills to earn medals. Once you've accumulated enough, the Expert mode will automatically unlock. In this mode, once the objective is completed, the enemy has been defeated, and necessary actions have been taken, players can change their route and freely do what they like in each level. This mode supports GameShare3, allowing up to 4 players to fly together online or offline via GameChat. Note: Online GameShare only works between Nintendo Switch 2 devices, while local GameShare works for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.

Joy-Con 2 mouse controller

– When playing solo in Campaign Mode and/or Challenge Mode, you can freely switch between button and mouse controls with the Joy-Con 2 controller. Mouse controls provide a more intuitive aiming experience, and if a friend joins, whether on the same system or via GameShare through GameChat, your friend can be the marksman while you focus on piloting the aircraft, or vice versa.

GameChat character avatar and AR filter

This feature allows players to appear as Fox McCloud or any team member when chatting with friends using an interactive avatar that mirrors expressions and movements in GameChat4. With the game's AR filters, players can also add a pair of ears like Star Fox or a beak inspired by Falco, with these parts moving in sync with the words spoken during chat.
