Skype is available for Linux users, download and experience
Skype, the popular VoIP application, is now available for Linux distributions like Ubuntu and Linux Mint for users to experience. This is good news for the community of open source operating systems for computers.
Linux users can download Skype application Snap packages to use. With the Skype version for Linux, the latest features will be delivered directly to users regardless of which device or distribution they use.
Snap is packaged software designed to work on any Linux platform, from desktop, cloud or IoT device. It was first released in 2016. They are cleaned, away from sensitive devices and have all the software requirements required for the application to run so it is more manageable than the archive. Developers can accelerate updates directly to users and return features if there is a problem.
