Samsung quietly developed a new type of screen, possibly soon equipped on the Galaxy S11
According to information from a new patent published by the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) on November 6, Samsung, the world's largest smartphone manufacturer, is currently in the process of developing a screen. The new image is called 'SAMOLED'.
According to the information described in the patent, this new type of screen can be used on TVs, smart displays, computers and, of course, smartphones. With such high applicability, it is likely that we will witness the appearance of this new panel right on the Galaxy S11 flagship smartphone which will be unveiled by the manufacturer Kim Chi in the beginning of the year. after.
SamOLED is claimed by Samsung experts to bring a remarkable improvement over existing AMOLED technology, but it has yet to explain what the 'S' here means.
Samsung also currently owns a display technology called 'Super AMOLED' screen, and this makes many people think of the abbreviated version 'SAMOLED'. However, this is very unlikely. Samsung as a manufacturer rarely applies the 'old wine bottle' strategy, and changing the name for an old technology, whatever the purpose, is not a good way to do it.
This new 'SAMOLED' technology will undoubtedly hold some advantages over existing technology, like AMOLED has 'outplayed' LCD before. It may be thinner, more durable and more flexible than current Super AMOLED or AMOLED technology.
Galaxy S11 - one of the most notable Flagship models in the first half of 2020, is expected to own an overflowing screen with an extremely weird 20: 9 aspect ratio, slightly up from 19: 9 on the Galaxy S10. As such, the device will become thinner, similar to the Galaxy A70 and Galaxy A80 models, which also have the same aspect ratio.
In addition, the Galaxy S11 is also expected to use Samsung's 'homegrown' 108MP image sensor, which is similar to the newly launched Xiaomi Mi Note 10, but the quality of the photos will be much different. . Rumor has it that the Galaxy S11 smartphone series will set a new benchmark for camera performance, let's wait and see!
