Quick charging way iPhone X
Each $ 1,000 iPhone X comes with the charger but they are not very good. According to Apple, iPhone X (and iPhone 8 and 8 Plus) features fast charging, can charge up to 50% of battery in just 30 minutes. However, to achieve this speed, users will have to pay a significant amount, because Apple does not add any other support equipment comes with the purchase.
There are two ways to fast charge iPhone: fast but expensive charging and slower charging but cheaper.
Fast charging iPhone but expensive
If you want to charge iPhone X at the fastest speed possible (50% in 30 minutes), you need to use USB-C. Specifically, you need a USB-C to Lightning cable, and a power brick that supports the USB-C Power Delivery specification (USB-C PD). However, these devices are not cheap.
USB-C to Lightning cable
If you want to buy a USB-C to Lightning cable, you should buy it from Apple. Apple controls Lightning parameters and does not allow third-party manufacturers to create USB-C to Lightning cables.
Connect one end to the iPhone X phone and the other end with a large power charger designed to achieve the highest charging speed in the shortest time. For safety you should use Apple products.
Hopefully, one day Apple will open the door and allow third parties to produce Lightning to USB-C cables. Currently, Apple only has two types of USB-C to Lightning cables: one-meter cable and two-meter cable.
- 1 meter USB-C to Lightning cable ($ 25)
- 2 meter USB-C to Lightning cable ($ 35)
USB-C PD charger
Owners of iPhone X have a few options when buying a USB-C PD charger but their prices are still expensive. Apple did not elaborate on the fastest maximum charging speed for a new phone, with the types of chargers: USB-C 29W, 61W and 87W for new MacBooks and MacBook Pros. These USB-C chargers range in price from $ 49.
If you want the charger within 29W for your iPhone X, here are a few options for the charger that won't make you 'bag membrane'.
- Anker PowerPort Speed 30W USB-C ($ 27.99)
- Charger Aukey 27W USB-C ($ 23.99)
- Google charger 18W USB-C ($ 35, may be lower)
- Apple 29W USB-C charger ($ 49)
Charge iPhone slower but cheaper (faster than regular charger)
An alternative to the fast USB-C charger is charging via an iPad charger (or a 12W charger, 2.4A charger), which Apple supports for iPhone 6. The advantage of this is cheaper, easy to find. more, you may even have an iPad charger and can use the Type A to Lightning USB cable like in the iPhone X box. The downside is that it is faster than the charger that comes with the phone, But it does not achieve charging speed like USB-C.
Here are some options you can consult.
- Anker Elite converter 24W two USB ports (10.99 dollars)
- AmazonBasics converter 24W two USB ports ($ 9.99)
