Play games with eyebrows, only on iPhone X

The game is called Rainbow and you probably aren't surprised by the technology behind it, of course recognizing the face.

The guy who graduated from Washington University computer science Nathan Gitter just released Rainbow, a mobile game for the iPhone, using his own eyebrows to control. You probably aren't surprised by the technology behind, of course, recognizing the face.

How to play the game is very simple, you just need to raise your eyebrows up, down, or hold them to move emoji (up, down, stand still) and collect stars. Each star gets 1 point. The player must also avoid the obstructing emoji such as cars, basketball, ducks . Note that if you raise your eyebrows up (or down) and keep the status, the emoji will continue to jump up (jump down) in the next step. .

Although there are no levels, the game is more difficult when obstacles appear more. The goal is simply to score as high as possible. Currently you can only compare yourself with yourself. Gitter also said that in the next update, he intends to bring Rainbow into Apple's Game Center so that many players can compare scores.

Rainbow is simple but quite new because it is one of the first games to use ARKit, framework for iOS 11 to identify the position, space and expression on the user's face right in real time, via camera system TrueDepth of iPhone X.

Gitter also said he believes that face-based applications have potential. He also mentions another newly released game called Nose Zone, in which the player's task is to use the right arrow to break the ball.

When you first open Rainbow, the app will ask for camera access first. As with any application, this permission option can be switched on / off in Settings > Privacy > Camera.

Rainbow also has a privacy policy to ensure information security

Regarding the privacy policy that face tracking applications must have, Rainbow said that the information collected only serves gameplay, saved on the device and only during play. This data is not stored elsewhere, not given to third parties or used for any other purpose.

Currently Rainbow is provided completely free, but in the future Gitter will add IAP packages to unlock new emoji characters. He has no intention of putting ads into the game.
