OpenAI has just announced a "feverish" information when the company is planning to integrate the AI model that converts text descriptions into videos, Sora, into the famous chatbot ChatGPT. This move promises to bring breakthrough experiences to users, turning ChatGPT into not only a regular chatbot but also a powerful video creation tool.

Video creator Sora is coming soon to ChatGPT chatbot.

Sora currently only operates independently on the Sora.com website, allowing users to create short videos from descriptive text. However, during a "Sora Office Hours" session on Discord, Sora product lead Rohan Sahai revealed that integration of the AI engine into ChatGPT is in the works. This means that in the future, users will be able to ask ChatGPT to create videos with just a few simple commands.

This move is considered a strategic move by OpenAI in the context of increasingly fierce AI competition. Integrating Sora into ChatGPT not only attracts more users but also encourages more people to subscribe to the ChatGPT Plus package to experience premium features.

In addition, OpenAI also announced a number of other updates to Sora, including a 'Top' feed to showcase featured works, reduced queues for ChatGPT Plus users, and plans to develop a Sora mobile app. Notably, the company also revealed its intention to integrate imaging capabilities into Sora, opening up speculation about the future of DALL-E.
