Netbooks run simultaneously Android and Windows XP Picture 1 Netbook running two operating systems demonstrated at Computex 2009 The Netbook model is equipped with a removable 7.6-inch touchscreen, the processor supports Android operating system and has a long battery life. 8 to 10 hours. The design of the product was brought to Computex 2009 by Taiwan Institute of Information Technology. The institute is looking for a company in Taiwan to manufacture and sell this product, the Institute representative said.
Netbooks work on the Google Android operating system but can automatically push two sides of the screen and open the Windows XP operating system when users open an application like Microsoft Word. This is an application that works on computers equipped with x86 chip architecture.
The x86 chip used for the device is the Via C7 chip clocked at 1.6GHz, placed under the keyboard and supports Wi-Fi or broadband telecommunications networks. This chip is used to run the device for x86 architecture only.
The product uses Samsung 533MHz chip (an Arm core) to run the Android operating system. WiMAX technology is also tested on this netbook and the product also supports this technology well.
Due to being able to operate both operating systems, the product will cost more than traditional netbooks for more than $ 50.
