Minecraft 26.1 Snapshot 5: Golden Dandelion Appears and Baby Sea Monster Remodeled
Minecraft 26.1 Snapshots always offer an early look at features that will appear in the upcoming official update. Even though this is just an experimental version, you can still download it to experience it right away. In this Snapshot 5 , Mojang has shifted the focus from land animals to aquatic mobs , and completely revamped the appearance of their offspring.
Snapshot 5 focuses on making the ocean more "adorable" with revamped baby sea mob models . These tiny creatures now have more proportionate heads and bodies, no longer looking as bizarre as before.
The redesigned (remodeled) child mobs include:
- Dolphins
- Squids & Glow Squids
- Sea turtles (Turtles)
- Mexican salamander (Axolotls)
These creatures now look completely different from their adult versions: rounder and more "playful." Additionally, their Bounding Box has been redesigned to better suit real-world movement and collisions.
How to craft and use Golden Dandelion
The most exciting feature is the magical flower called the Golden Dandelion . This is a rare, craftable flower that allows players to control whether mobs grow or remain forever in their "baby" form.
The recipe for crafting Golden Dandelion:
To craft it, you need 1 common dandelion and 8 gold nuggets .

Open the Crafting Table .

Place the dandelion in the center slot.

Surrounded by 8 golden beads.
Effect: When you feed Golden Dandelion to baby mobs, their aging process will stop completely , and they will remain small forever.
Note: You cannot use Golden Dandelion on hostile mobs or Villagers .
Other valuable improvements
In addition to the changes mentioned above, Baby Chickens now have their own distinct sound set instead of sharing the same sounds as adult chickens. Although it's a small change, it makes the Minecraft world much more realistic and vibrant.
