This is an archive guide for Teamfight Tactics Set 10: Remix Rumble. Twisted Fate was a four-cost Disco/Dazzler carry in that set. Because TFT rosters and items rotate, this composition does not apply to the current live set unless Set 10 returns as a revival.
Twisted Fate's role in TFT Set 10
Twisted Fate was a back-row Ability Power carry. His Wild Cards targeted the current enemy and nearby units, dealing repeated magic damage and reducing Magic Resistance as the cards connected. The Headliner version threw additional cards, making a Headliner Twisted Fate a major late-game upgrade.
He needed two things from the rest of the board: enough frontline time to finish multiple casts and reliable mana or attack-speed support. Placing him safely in a corner was common, but the exact tile should change when facing crowd control, Assassins, or area damage.
Traits: Disco and Dazzler
Disco
Disco created a Disco Ball that healed nearby allies and increased their attack speed. At the higher breakpoint, the trait supplied a second ball. Positioning mattered: a unit outside the highlighted area received no benefit, while clumping every unit around one ball could expose the team to large area attacks.
Dazzler
Dazzler abilities reduced affected enemies' damage for a short duration and added delayed magic damage based on the caster's ability damage. This trait improved both team survival and Twisted Fate's sustained damage, but reaching a high breakpoint was not worth sacrificing a functional frontline.
Best item categories for Twisted Fate
| Need | Useful Set 10 items | Why they worked |
|---|---|---|
| Faster casts | Spear of Shojin, Blue Buff, Statikk Shiv | Helped Twisted Fate cast Wild Cards more frequently. |
| Ability damage | Jeweled Gauntlet, Archangel's Staff, Rabadon's Deathcap, Giant Slayer | Increased damage or improved performance against high-health targets. |
| Attack speed and utility | Red Buff, Nashor's Tooth, Guinsoo's Rageblade | Worked with the repeated-cast plan and Disco's attack-speed bonus. |
| Healing | Hextech Gunblade | Added sustain and could help stabilize the frontline during long fights. |
A practical three-item setup usually combined one mana item, one damage item, and one flexible damage or utility item. Do not force three attack-speed items simply because Disco supplied attack speed; Twisted Fate still needed Ability Power and enough mana generation to make each cast meaningful.
Disco Twisted Fate composition
The standard approach used Twisted Fate as the main carry, Blitzcrank as the primary tank, and several Disco units to activate the trait. Nami could hold early Ability Power and mana items; Gragas and Taric helped form the early frontline. Later, Ziggs, Sona, or another strong five-cost unit could add damage or utility without requiring the entire board to be Disco.
Typical game plan
- Early game: Use an upgraded Nami or another back-row caster as the item holder. Play the strongest frontline available instead of keeping weak units only for traits.
- Mid game: Activate Disco, place carries and tanks inside the Disco Ball's area, and build tank items on Gragas, Ekko, or another upgraded frontliner.
- Level 8: Roll for Twisted Fate and Blitzcrank. A relevant Headliner could complete the desired Disco or Dazzler breakpoint with fewer slots.
- Late game: Add high-value utility, reposition around enemy threats, and move spare carry items to Ziggs or Sona when appropriate.
Dazzler-focused alternative
A Dazzler variant could use Nami, Bard, Lux, Twisted Fate, and Ziggs as the offensive core, supported by a durable frontline. This version emphasized magic damage and enemy damage reduction rather than the largest Disco breakpoint.
Choose the version supported by the shop, Headliner, and items you actually receive. If the game offers more copies of Ziggs than Twisted Fate or provides better items for another carry, moving damage items rather than forcing the original plan is often the stronger decision.
Positioning checklist
- Keep Twisted Fate in the back row and scout for threats that can reach the corner.
- Place important units within Disco Ball range without creating an unnecessarily dense clump.
- Put the most durable tank in front of the largest enemy group.
- Move Twisted Fate away from the opposing carry when that reduces incoming splash damage.
- Re-scout before each late-game round; a static board is easy to counter.
Set 10 ended in 2024, so exact item recipes and trait values may differ in a future revival. Use the screenshots and composition principles as historical reference, then check the in-client tooltip for the active rules.
