How to map thinking in Microsoft PowerPoint
To draw mind maps in PowerPoint, you need to create a new slide and use SmartArt to add graphical elements. Follow the steps below:
Step 1 : Open a new slide and add a title to your mind map.
Step 2 : Insert SmartArt. These graphics will form the layout of mind maps. There are many SmartArt layouts available, but the Horizontal Hierarchy layout is very similar to the only private map.
Step 3 : Go to Ribbon> Insert> SmartArt> Hierarchy> Horizontal Hierarchy .
Step 4 : Click on the first box (center box) and enter your thinking topic. In this example, the core theme is ' Content Ideas '.
Step 5: The core theme will be divided into key topics and sub-topics. Here the main topics are " Recreate Top Posts " and " Ask Your Readers ".
Step 6: The sub-topics will correspond to each major topic. For example, the main topic ' Recreate Top Posts ' will have sub-topics ' Expand a Point ' and ' Add New Information '.
Step 7: You can also use the SmartArt Text box on the left to add details and add or remove images of SmartArt.
Step 8: Add SmartArt image using text box tool or SmartArt tool and maintain hierarchy. This way you can expand your mind map with more topics.
Step 9: SmartArt Design and Format toolbar helps the mind map look better and attract audiences.
During the process of creating mind maps, whenever an error occurs, you can click Reset Graphic (on the SmartArt Design toolbar) to return to the original state.
