Microsoft released a tool to quickly update Windows Phone phones

After rumors about the "death" of Windows Phone, Microsoft still promoted security updates and bug fixes for users using Lumia phones and other Windows phones.

Software manufacturers have released a new tool called Over the Cable – updater (OTC Updater) for Windows phone users and fans, allowing them to upgrade to the latest operating system version.

Normally, when updating Windows phones, from Windows Phone 8.1 or Windows 10 Mobile, users must download and install each update. Obviously, updating such an operating system will make users feel tedious and many people will not even participate in the update. However, this new Microsoft tool is much more convenient.

OTC Updater application will help users to install the latest mobile operating system version using the installed Windows PC application.

All you need to do is download the application and run the OtcUpdaterZip.exe file to install OTC Updater. Once the tool is installed, connect your phone to the PC. Instead of installing each version of Windows 10, this tool will directly update your phone to the latest version of Windows 10 Mobile, saving you more time.

To use OTC Updater to update Windows Phone, you need to ensure that:

1. The device is connected to the PC via USB.
2. The PIN code is unlocked and the device is turned on in airplane mode.
3. The PC runs the latest version of Windows.
4. NET 4.0 has been installed.
