Microsoft officially set the death date for Wunderlis application
Microsoft has just announced the official closure of its Wunderlist task management application on May 6, 2020 - more than 4 years after the one-time acquisition of the hit app.
Wunderlist officially came to Microsoft in June 2015 for $ 200 million. Previously, this is one of the extremely popular task management applications, received quite positive feedback from users of Android, iOS and Windows Phone phones.
Wunderlist provides users with a variety of lists, different task management options, such as to-do lists, shopping lists, and household chores. You can also add hashtags to each item or assign tasks to others, share tasks and tasks with colleagues or with family members.
However, since coming to Microsoft, Wunderlist has not maintained its momentum as before. Redmond Company decided to launch an entirely new redesigned version of the To Do 'homegrown' application in September, fully integrating the top features of Wunderlist, while enhancing its complement. Add some Microsoft services including Outlook, Microsoft Planner, Cortana and direct users from Wunderlist to this application. Microsoft has emphasized integration of the To Do application with its own services, which offers many advantages for users who dive into the Office ecosystem.
After May 6, 2020, the Wunderlist application will no longer sync with the Microsoft cloud, although you can still access your to-do list to Microsoft To Do. Before the decision was made by Microsoft, Wunderlist founder Christian Reber had many times offered to buy back his brainchild, but the two sides did not reach a common voice.
If you have firmly believed in the hope of Wunderlist's revival, now seems like a good time to let go.
