Microsoft Designer has now become a cross-platform tool
Just by owning a Microsoft account, users can fully take advantage of Microsoft Designer to design many different types of images, serving content such as invitations, cover photos,. Each design of Microsoft Designer All apply AI technology to bring new and unique ideas to users.
Back in 2022, Microsoft first announced Designer as simply a simple graphic design web application to help users create social media posts, invitations, digital postcards, etc. Then, the application was launched as a public preview version on the web in April 2023. By August, Microsoft Designer was added as an integrated component of the Microsoft Edge browser.
With positive reception from the community, Microsoft Designer is gradually expanding its reach beyond the web and Windows environment. The app has received several major updates, providing powerful image editing capabilities and expanding availability for mobile users.
Today, Microsoft continues to announce the general availability of Microsoft Designer for personal Microsoft accounts. Microsoft Designer comes with 15 free enhancements that can be used to create or edit AI-powered images. When upgrading to a Copilot Pro subscription, users will receive 100 edits per day. Users can currently access Microsoft Designer in the following ways:
- Microsoft Designer integrates into Word and PowerPoint through Microsoft Copilot
- Microsoft Designer is integrated into Microsoft Photos on Windows.
Microsoft also highlighted several new features added to Microsoft Designer, including:
- New command templates will allow users to easily begin the creative process. These sentence templates come pre-filled with ideas, styles, and descriptions that users can test and customize.
- Users can create custom stickers using Microsoft Designer. They can also create emojis, clip art, wallpapers, monograms, avatars, etc. using simple text commands.
- Microsoft Designer now allows users to easily create greeting cards with personalized messages.
- The Image Restyle feature in Designer will allow users to choose from a set of styles and create a completely new restyled image.
- Microsoft Designer now allows users to create custom photo frames and collages by selecting multiple photos.
- The upcoming Replace background feature in Designer will allow users to easily replace the background of a photo. Users can upload a photo and describe the desired background in text, then AI will create the background.
