Microsoft confirmed that Windows will have S Mode in 2019

Windows 10 S will no longer have its own version next year.

Microsoft talked about the plan to move Windows 10 S from an operating system version to a Windows 10 S Mode in the following year. Although the news leaked last month, vice president Joe Belfiore just confirmed this on Twitter. 'Next year, 10 S will become a' mode 'on current versions, not a separate version, 'Belfiore said.

S Mode will lock other Windows 10 versions, so it can only run applications from Microsoft STore and work like what Windows 10 S OS did before.

Microsoft is planning to put S Mode on WIndows OS versions 10 Home, Enterprise and Pro.

It is also reported that Microsoft will allow Windows 10 Home users to disable S Mode for free, but Windows 10 Pro has S Mode enabled and will have to pay $ 49 to use the full version of Windows 10 Pro. Microsoft has not confirmed this yet and if it does not appear until 2019, the details may not be fully refined.

Microsoft needs to be careful when switching to S Mode, especially those that are left in default mode. If the partners are the ones to decide, then perhaps we will see devices with S Mode next year will be quite diverse, and perhaps a little confusing even though explained before.
