Microsoft claims Windows 11 will save companies millions of dollars

Microsoft partnered with Forrester Research to find the true economic impact of Windows 11 Enterprise and Microsoft 365 on organizations and businesses using these platforms.

Windows 11's first and only major update of 2022 - 22H2 - is now rolling out to users globally. And in the excitement of the big innovations underway, Microsoft has detailed the importance of Windows 11 adoption in the enterprise environment, highlighting a series of statistics and modeling Benefits from new features that customers can take advantage of to optimize costs and profits.

Specifically, Microsoft has partnered with Forrester Research to find the true economic impact of Windows 11 Enterprise and Microsoft 365 on organizations and businesses using these platforms. Based on hundreds of interviews with many different organizations and businesses, as well as actual statistics, the results show that organizations using Microsoft's latest operating systems and supporting Microsoft 365 services The cloud could save millions of dollars in operating and maintenance costs over the next three years.

Microsoft has highlighted that the results of Forrester's analysis show that Windows 11 allows users to work 5-15% more efficiently and therefore organizations should consider upgrading to the new operating system now instead of wait or update to Windows 10 version 22H2 - coming later this year.

 

To drive further interest in Windows 11 from the global business community, Microsoft has highlighted the benefits - both old and new - that the operating system brings. This includes the latest security improvements just introduced in the Windows 11 2022 (22H2) update, Windows Autopatch, insights in Endpoint Manager, App Assure, accessibility related improvements, along with a series of other business-oriented utilities.

In addition, the company is also researching a solution to integrate Microsoft Store with Intune. If implemented in practice, this would give IT administrators more control over system application deployment and updates. Besides, this tool will also be designed to provide a more optimal experience than Microsoft Store for Business. Detailed information about the plan to integrate Microsoft Store with Intune will be shared specifically on the Ignite stage taking place later this year.

The plan to improve the Universal Print solution for Azure Virtual Desktop customers is also one of Microsoft's focuses in the near future. This month, customers will get downloadable reports, live dashboards, and support for Excel on the web. Another area that is being improved with the Windows 11 22H2 update is online Teams meetings, which will gain a new feature set called Windows Studio Effects.
