13 VTC TV channels, along with VOV channel and Nhan Dan TV, stopped broadcasting from January 15.

From 0:00, when accessing these channels on some digital TV platforms, users receive "interrupted" messages, automatically switch to another channel, or only see a black screen.

In addition to VTC and VOVTV, several other channels such as Nhan Dan Television and Thong Tan Television also stopped broadcasting today, while National Assembly TV has been inactive since January 1.

The closure is part of the system's organizational restructuring process to reduce duplication of functions, improve operational efficiency and save costs according to Resolution 18. This decision stems from the need to optimize resources, focus investment on key units, and adapt to the development of digital communication technology. The number of people affected is estimated at over 1,000.

Meanwhile, television service providers in Vietnam have not yet announced plans to add new channels for users.
