MacBook Air 2013 is very difficult to fix

The site of iFixit analysis of electronic components analysis after dissection of the MacBook Air 2013, has suggested that Apple's new product line is difficult to repair.

IFixit's electronic component review page after "dissecting" the MacBook Air 2013 edition, has made the comment that Apple's new product line is difficult to repair.

CNet on June 13 retrieved information from iFixit, saying that MacBook Air 2013 only received 4 out of 10 points for ease of repair and replacement when it got damaged (the higher the score, the easier to fix).

Specifically, this product line is available in 11.6-inch and 13.6-inch versions, using Intel's new Haswell processor, and supporting the new generation 802.11ac WiFi standard.

When "dissecting" MacBook Air 2013 , iFixit found it difficult to remove the device screw because Apple uses proprietary screws, so when using it, it is necessary to use a dedicated screwdriver.

In addition, the RAM memory is "dead" to the motherboard, so it is very difficult to replace RAM or motherboard when it fails.

iFixit also found that the SSD drives used on MacBook Air 2013 are also not compatible with previous MacBook Air models, so it is difficult to upgrade storage memory.
