Lenovo launched the ThinkPad S531 Ultrabook
Lenovo recently launched the ThinkPad S531, its latest Ultrabook. This device uses a 15.6-inch screen that can open up to 180 degrees.
It has the same design as the S431 14-inch screen and also owns the docking port OneLink, a little different that the keyboard now has a numpad cluster.
The lid of the device is made of aluminum and painted with two choices of gray or black to help " bring a premium feeling to the touch ". The ThinkPad S531 uses a submerged five-button mousewheel with glass-covered surfaces, similar to the new ThinkPads released this year. The S531 weighs 2.29 kg, which is unknown.
In terms of configuration, the ThinkPad S531 has an anti-glare Full-HD screen resolution option , running on a third-generation Intel Core i processor (ie Ivy Bridge, not yet seeing Lenovo mention upgrading to Haswell CPU. ) , HDD 500GB.
The device can be configured to a maximum of 10GB of RAM (Full-HD model only) , including 8GB from RAM modules and 2GB of dead solder chips on the motherboard. Lenovo promises the ThinkPad S531 battery life can be up to 9 hours.
The ThinkPad S531 has started out at prices from 575 Pound , equivalent to $ 900 . Particularly for Full-HD screen options, it will not be available until the next month.
