Law University takes attendance by QR code, students only have 60 seconds to confirm that they go to school on time
First attendance has now become so familiar to teachers and students. In order for their students to attend school fully and without skipping classes, the teachers still read the long list over and over again. However, with the development of technology, some universities have used more modern tools to gradually replace the traditional way of naming names.
One of the modern methods of attendance today is by QR code. This method has been applied by Hanoi Law University (HLU).

At the university, students take a roll call by scanning a QR code with their personal phones. Scan successfully, a phone will appear on the phone, so students must quickly fill out personal information confirming full and punctual attendance within 50 seconds. For the last 10 seconds, the teacher writes on the attendance chart, and the whole class will enter. The time it takes for the code to appear and the student scans the code within 1 minute.
Not only attendance, this technology is also applied to the assignment, when students scan the code, the content of the exercise will appear.
This attendance technology is currently being tested in a class taught by Mr. Nguyen Van Hoi, a lecturer at Civil Law Faculty at Hanoi Law University, which has not yet been widely applied to the whole school. This attendance method prevents students from taking attendance or hiring students to attend. Besides, this creative way also helps teachers not to read the long list of long attendance, saving time and effort.
This modern technology of attendance makes many students feel excited, but it also makes those who sleep, go late, skip classes.

For students who do not have a smartphone, you can visit the lecturer to take full attendance. To serve the learning and working needs of cadres, lecturers and students, Hanoi Law University has covered free Wi-Fi throughout. Therefore, attendance by QR code is possible without having to worry about having no network or network jitter.
