Today Apple refreshes its iPad product line with 9.7-inch iPad that supports Apple Pencil and a $ 30 discount for students. This product is said to replace the $ 329 iPad model last year and sell at the same price for regular customers.

The race that Apple is participating in the education market with Google is also a good thing, bringing cheaper prices and more options. However, there is one product still stubborn in the position "hard to love" in the roadmap focused on Apple's education, which is the iPad mini 4.

The price for the 7.9 inch product was released on 9/2015 on Apple's online store is still $ 399 (the price on Best Buy is currently $ 300). The device runs the A8 chip, while the newly released iPad runs the A10 Fusion chip, supports Pencil and costs only $ 329.

Apple is still famous for keeping its products longer, advantages over similarly priced but more powerful products. Apparently, Apple doesn't want to update the mini 4 anymore. they also have to have figures that prove they can sell enough to not stop providing.

Anyway, the iPad mini has been released since 2012 - although Apple co-founder Steve Jobs is very conservative about a device that is too similar to the iPhone - and hard to meet market demand. Now the tablet market has dropped and only increased thanks to the cheap iPad line. Continuing to invest in 7 or 8 inch models is no longer reasonable, especially when smartphones are getting bigger and better.

Perhaps Apple still wants to sell until it completely becomes obsolete but keeping such prices is very unreasonable.

Obviously iPad mini 4 is not a good choice. For less than $ 70, you can buy a bigger device, faster processor and support for a touch pen.
