Recently, Intel unveiled the first information that the two-screen PC model has flexible folding capabilities and possesses strong configuration with its Kaby Lake chip. This computer is codenamed Tiger Rapids.
Recently, Intel unveiled the first information that the two-screen PC model has flexible folding capabilities and possesses strong configuration with its Kaby Lake chip. This computer is codenamed Tiger Rapids.
Tiger Rapids has two hinged interconnecting screens that make it flexible to fold / open. This is the first time Intel acknowledges that it is conducting research and developing this new technology trend.
In design, Tiger Rapids has a main screen (left) of 7.9 inches, uses LCD technology of 4.85mm thick, thinner than iPhone 8. Right screen, electronic paper screen (EPD) Compatible with touch pen.
The configuration of Tiger Rapids is quite strong compared to the current technology market, with Kaby Lake processor and an SSD hard drive (unknown about specific parameters) for speed optimization, a USB-C port, Can connect to Wifi, battery life is about 13 to 15 hours.
According to Intel, it took three years to design this PC model. And now, Intel has not released information about whether mass production of Tiger Rapids will be conducted.
