Intel launched the Classmate PC touch

On August 21, Intel introduced the new design of the Classmate PC product with touch screen and motion sensor interaction.

Classmate PC's new design is based on results from ethnographic studies and pilots over the past two years. Studies show that students collaborate very naturally when learning in groups and they will benefit from the mobility and flexibility of laptops compared to having to stick to their desks.

New Classmate PC features include:

Intel launched the Classmate PC touch Picture 1 Touch screen : Pen and soft on-screen keyboard for effective writing and drawing will enhance coordination and interaction in the classroom

Table mode : Enhanced mobility for use anywhere, simple user interface framework and the ability to quickly switch to table mode

Improved software : Networking capabilities and easier collaboration, simple computer management, and localized educational content.

The new Classmate PC design will be delivered to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) later this year. Intel says operating system, content and software vendors and other industry partners are developing products to support the new version of this educational computer to ensure it can be provided. Widely granted when this platform is introduced to users. With the goal of creating more options to meet diverse learning needs, these new educational computers will coexist with today's educational computer product lines, including computers. Education using Intel's second generation processing power is working with Intel Celeron and Intel Atom processors.
