How to Create a Passcode on Facebook

First, you access the Facebook application, then select the 3-dash icon , select Settings & privacy , then select Settings . Switch to the new interface, select See more in Account Center , then select Password and Security > Passkey .

Now click Create Passkey and follow the instructions on the screen.

Currently, password lock support is just being rolled out.

Facebook Android and iOS apps: Passkey is rolling out to accounts soon.

Messenger app: The feature isn't live yet, but Meta confirmed it's coming soon. Once enabled, you won't need to create a separate password; Messenger will use the same password you set up for Facebook.

Desktop browsers: These browsers still rely on passwords or other traditional login methods. Passkey doesn't yet work on desktop, so you'll have to wait a little longer for a fully password-free experience on all devices.
