Instructions for changing application icons on Android with Awesome Icons application

Suppose there is an application that you absolutely love, but every time you see the icon outside of the application, you have to shake your head and wonder why the founder of the application can design such an ugly symbol. Some people will hide those applications in the folder to avoid seeing a lot, but there is another way to change this.

Awesome Icons is a fairly simple application with the main feature is to change the application icon displayed on the screen. You choose to grab an application, select the icon, rename display and Awesome Icons will create a new icon that acts as a shortcut on the main screen to open the corresponding application instead of opening the original application. That shortcut can be moved anywhere on the main screen, even if it is inserted into the folder and dock like other normal applications.

When you open Awesome Icons, you will see a list of applications installed on your device, and under each application there will be a hint table as a conveyor belt containing all the shapes of the application. You can change it. Choose an icon that you like, then the screen will bring up a screen to create a shortcut, where you can see which shortcut it will link to. After clicking OK and returning to the main screen, you will see a new icon.

For the convenience of creating themes, you can darken the rest of the screen except that icon. This works when the icons you select are similar in color to the screen, making them more prominent and easier to see. If you want to create a shortcut with a different icon than the suggested icons on the application, click the + icon in the upper toolbar to open a table of optional shortcuts. This is also a great tool to help you hide applications that you don't want others to see on the screen.

Although changing the application icon with icon packs in launchers is still encouraged rather than using Awesome Icons, Awesome Icons does not change the icon of the application, but only a shortcut to Open the app and at least you can get nice icons on the screen to replace the ugly icons you don't want to see.
