Android allows you to make all kinds of great customizations to personalize your phone. Although some customizations require rooting the device, some other options are very easy to do just a few steps. And changing the application icon on Android is as easy as that. It only takes a few minutes to swap the default application icons on your phone with a custom icon that brings your personal markings.
How to change custom icons for apps on Android
Step 1: First, you need to install the compatible Android launcher. Some launchers default on multiple phones, such as Pixel Launcher and Samsung's launcher, which do not support custom icons. You can refer to the article Evaluating the best Launcher for Android today to choose for yourself the most suitable launcher. In this example, use the Nova Launcher launcher.
Step 2: After installing the launcher, set the launcher to be the default setting so you don't accidentally return to the old launcher. (To set it as default, just press the Home button on your phone and you'll see this option).
Step 3: Next, you will need to install one or more icon packs from Google Play. You can also import icons manually, but this is much slower. (See the article of Top 10 stunning icon packs for Android and choose for yourself some great icon packs.)
Step 4: To use the icon pack, go to the launcher options. In Nova Launcher, go to Nova Settings> Look & feel> Icon theme . (Here you will see a list of all installed icon packages. Select an icon to automatically apply the appropriate icons for all applications.)
One thing to note is that the icon pack may not have enough custom icons for all applications on your phone. If you like, you can press and hold on an icon and select Edit , then touch the app's icon to select the icon for it. There are many icon packs like Moonshine that have a section in the app to request a new icon.
