Increased attack of message networks
Message security research firm IMLogic has announced that the number of attacks on messaging networks is increasing, 14 times since the beginning of the year.
'Over the past three months, threats from the messaging network (IM) have continued to increase with a more sophisticated change and the spread of infection from IMs and viruses has increased,' said Sakoda, CTML of IMLogic. .
The bulletin board also said that MSN Messenger messages suffered the most attacks, 14 times more than the previous year, and the complexity of the attacks was also increasing.
IMLogic has listed the number of instant messenger attacks and the results show that MSN Messenger has the highest level of 62%, followed by AIM, and AOL's messaging with 31%. While Yahoo Messenger has a lower risk, only 7%.
Attacks include 87% from worms, 12% from hijack file transfers to spread viruses and 1% take advantage of system errors. There are 713 hazards that can be dangerous from the IM network and the P2P peer-to-peer network.
IMLogic also recommends that AIM and Yahoo Messenger users are not subjective when most attacks target MSN Messenger.
