How will a meteorite be found to crash into NASA Earth?

According to NASA, the situation of meteorites crashing into and destroying the Earth will be rare, in a million years a meteor with a diameter of 1 mile rushes to Earth. Even so, they are always ready to handle if the worst situation occurs.

Here are 5 steps in NASA's emergency information processing plan

1. Send a notification message to a group of no more than 12 scientists.
2. Immediately, these scientists embarked on tracking meteorite's trajectory.
3. Determine the size of the meteorite and the duration of the impact.
4. Confirm with FEMA that the impact of the meteor impact is inevitable.
5. NASA and FEMA announced the incident before the media and described how to protect the Earth.
