Kaomoji is popular in Japan, they are not like emoji are images. Kaomoji is like traditional text-based emoticons but you can understand them without tilting your head to the left. For example :-) is emoji and ^ _ ^ is kaomoji.
How to use kaomoji on Windows 10
This feature is part of the full emoji of Windows 10. To open it, press Win + + + . in any application. Click on the icon ;-) at the top of the list to see the kaomoji library.
If you don't see the icon ;-) here, it means you haven't updated to Windows 10 May 2019.
Use the icons at the end of the list to browse different types of kaomoji. Use the mouse wheel or drag the scroll bar to the right to see more icons.
The main tab on the left contains most of the recently used kaomoji for easy access. However, you have no way to pin your favorite kaomoji.
You can also navigate this interface entirely with your keyboard. Press Win + + + . To open it, press Tab twice to select the top icons, press the right arrow key on the keyboard to select the kaomoji icon, press Enter to activate it. Press Tab to move to kaomoji library, select one of the arrow keys and press Enter to insert it. You can also press Tab again to select the bottom bar and use the arrow keys and Enter to select kaomoji.
Now you can quickly insert kaomoji in any application.
