If you are brave to experiment, then there is a way to use these two devices together.
What is needed to get started with this project?
The process for Apple Watch to work with Android smartphones will have the following requirements:
- An Apple Watch has been unlocked with LTE
- Unlocked Android smartphone
- iPhone 6 and above have been unlocked
- A tool to get a SIM card.
Note : If you are unsure whether or not the Apple device you are using is unlocked, you can contact Apple or your service provider for more information. If you are unsure about your Android device, you should also contact your service provider.
You also need to be on a supported mobile network to use Apple Watch.
How to connect Apple Watch and Android phone
Make sure the Apple Watch is set up and configured correctly with the selected iPhone device.
Unfortunately, you'll need to get started with your iPhone to set up your Apple Watch and connect it to your service provider's LTE network.
Once the Apple Watch is ready, proceed to the steps below.
1. Turn off iPhone, Android phone and Apple Watch.
2. Use the SIM card removal tool (or something suitable, such as a paper clip) to remove the SIM card from the iPhone.
3. Insert the iPhone SIM card into the Android phone and then turn it on.
4. When the Android phone is powered on and connected to the mobile carrier's network, power on the Apple Watch.
5. Now, you should see your Android device connected to the network as usual and Apple Watch is also connected.
6. You can now start receiving calls, etc. on your Apple Watch, while using your Android phone as your main device.
