How to Remove Air Bubbles Under Screen Protector
Reapply the screen protector
Use a razor blade to lift one corner of the patch and remove it from the device. Carefully slide the sharp edge of the razor blade under one corner of the patch. Remember to keep the blade horizontal to avoid scratching the screen. When you lift a corner, the sticker will slowly separate from the screen. When most of the adhesive has separated, you will lift the patch from the device.
Do not bend the patch to remove it, doing so will cause the patch to break or break.
Many types of screen protectors can be removed and reapplied many times.
Clean and dry the screen with a soft cloth. Dirt and lint on the screen are the main causes of air bubbles. Dip a corner of the cleaning cloth in rubbing alcohol and wipe the screen to remove any dirt or lint. After wiping with a wet cloth, wipe it again with a dry, smooth cloth to dry the screen.
You can also use separately packaged cleaning cloths to clean the screen. Screen cleaning wipes are sold at electronics stores.
Tip: Do this in a clean, dust-free room. If you turn on fans or air conditioners, turn them off to keep dust from flying around.
Remove any remaining dirt with tape. Apply the tape to the screen and press gently so that the tape sticks to it. Gently remove the tape to remove any dirt or small fibers from the screen. Do this one at a time until the entire screen area is covered, remember to stick the tape over the previously pasted areas so as not to miss any spots.
Cover the screen with tape if you want to clean the entire screen at once.
Reapply the screen protector. Align the edges of the sticker with the edges of the screen so they don't become misaligned. Once you are satisfied with the position of the sticker, place one edge of the sticker down on the screen and slowly press it down. The adhesive on the back of the sticker will immediately stick to the screen.
Place the screen protector in a place with high humidity, such as the bathroom, to reduce air bubbles.
Slide your finger or a bank card onto the surface of the patch. When the sticker starts to stick to the screen, use your finger or a bank card to press it in the middle of the screen. Smooth from the middle of the screen to the surrounding edges to remove air bubbles under the sticker. Rub all over the screen until all the air bubbles are pushed out.
If there are still air bubbles on the screen, reapply it or replace it with a new one.
Remove air bubbles on the edge of the patch with oil
Dip one end of a cotton swab into cooking oil. You can use olive oil or vegetable oil for best results. Pour 1-2 teaspoons (5-10ml) of oil into a small dish so the cotton swab can be dipped easily. You just need to leave a thin layer of oil on the cotton swab, don't soak it until it's dripping.
Rub the cotton swab along the edge with air bubbles. Shake off excess oil on the tip of a cotton swab and wipe around the edges of the screen protector. Apply a thin layer of oil to the edges so that the oil seeps under the patch. The oil will remove all the air bubbles and the sticker will stick to the screen perfectly.
Tip: If after applying oil the air bubble still does not disappear, you can use your fingernail or razor blade to gently lift the edge of the screen protector so that the oil can seep down.
Press the patch back into place and wipe off any excess oil. When there are no more air bubbles on the screen, press firmly so the sticker sticks firmly to the screen. Use a paper towel to dry the edges of the patch and wipe off any excess oil that has been pushed out.
Gently press around the edges of the patch to see if excess oil comes out from underneath.
