Specifically, a 23-year-old male player named Azuan Iqbal Abdullah Sani in Malaysia almost lost his thumb because he refused to replace the cracked protective plate.

The reason is that this player is still plying the screen of his smartphone to play games for 4 months despite the cracked stickers. This caused his thumb to appear oddly large with black spots.

Although there was no tear or bleeding, the swelling made Azuan suffer. He went to see the doctor for an examination. As a result, Azuan's finger has a serious infection. Although treated with antibiotics, not only did the situation not get better but it became more severe, the pain became worse. Azuan was hospitalized, even though the doctor diagnosed that to remove tiny pieces of glass that had been stuck in the fingertips causing necrosis, he might have to undergo an operation.

Thankfully, Azuan did not have to amputate his thumb as the doctor's original diagnosis.

After treatment, Azuan shared that it was too easy to replace the new screen protector, but he did not. That bigotry caused him to be disabled if treated later.

Azuan adds, he hopes that people will immediately replace the screen protector or new screen if they crack after knowing what happened to him.
