Google and Samsung will announce the first Chrome computer?
Samsung and Google will launch a new netbook running the Google Chrome OS at the upcoming I / O conference on May 11, 2011.
The Google I / O Developer Conference will take place in San Francisco (USA) on May 10 and 11, 2011.
At this conference, Samsung and Google will hold an event to launch a new netbook running the Google Chrome OS OS.
Google Chrome OS has been launched for 2 years, currently available only in CR-48 laptops and not widely sold to the public. But now Samsung, one of Google's hardware partners, will change that.
According to some sources, this Samsung netbook is codenamed ' Alex '. It has a 10-inch screen, 1.5GHz Atom N550 dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM, 3G Qualcomm Gobi 2000 card, Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi, webcam and Synaptics mouse pad.
Google's Chrome system is designed to be fast to handle, using less power to suit the purpose of web surfing and cloud storage. There is also information that Google will lease Chrome OS for 10-20 USD (~ 210,000 - 420,000 VND) / month.
Recently, it was reported that Acer will launch Chrome OS.
Google said that Chrome OS has a boot time of only about 10 seconds, which works instantly from sleep, and will support Flash. Verizon wireless carrier in the US will also provide 3G data package with 100MB free for one month for Chrome systems.
