According to information posted on The Verge, Microsoft is developing a shortened version of Windows compared to the current Windows 10 for dual-screen laptops and Chromebook-like devices. The internal code name of this new Windows version is Windows Lite.

Microsoft wants a copy of Windows to take advantage of the laptop line with a foldable screen or two screens that could be released later this year.

The Windows Lite interface will be similar to the current Windows and has the same features as the Surface Hub. This is the interface builder, Microsoft is currently developing Windows Lite so everything will be completely changed when the software giant launches the operating system officially.

This Windows Lite operating system promises to help Microsoft compete better with Google's Chrome OS. Currently, the correct name information, the launch time of this new operating system has not been disclosed. At the beginning of May, Microsoft will hold a Build conference in Seattle and it is likely that this is the time when it will launch Windows Lite.
