Features that only support iPhone XS and above
iOS 16 has many features that only support iPhone models using A12 Bionic chip or higher including iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, SE 2020, 12 mini, 12, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, 13 mini, 13, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max and SE 2022. Therefore, the features below will not support iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
Upgrades for Live Text
On iOS 16, Live Text is improved to support both videos instead of just supporting photos as before. However, this new improvement will only support iPhone models from iPhone XS and above. Older iPhone models are not supported.
