Yangwang has just introduced the impressive capabilities of the U7 body control system, the sedan that will join the product line of BYD's super luxury sub-brand, through a video on Weibo. In it, a player controls the U7's suspension system with a phone to help a small ball out of a maze placed on the roof.
Players complete the challenge by using their phone's gyroscope to guide quick adjustments on the car's suspension.
'DiSus-Z, the sensitivity is clearly visible,' Yangwang wrote in the post.
So what is DiSus?
DiSus is a body control system announced by BYD on April 10, 2023, with three branches including:
- DiSus-C: Intelligent body control system based on shock absorbers.
- DiSus-A: Intelligent body control system based on pneumatics.
- DiSus-P: Hydraulically based intelligent body control system.
On April 25, 2024, Yangwang launched the U7 model at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, claiming that it is the top sedan in the 1 million yuan (about 137,430 USD) price segment.
The U7 will be the first model to be equipped with BYD's DiSus-Z intelligent body control system, which Yangwang claims offers superior comfort, even surpassing that of maglev trains.
Pre-sale and featured specs
Yangwang began pre-sales of the U7 at the Guangzhou Auto Show on November 15 last year, allowing customers to reserve a seat with a deposit of 20,000 yuan.
The U7 is offered in two versions: battery electric vehicle (BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), similar to many other BYD models.
In terms of performance, the U7 has a maximum capacity of up to 1,300 horsepower, the ability to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, and reach a maximum speed of 270 km/h, according to information announced by Yangwang.
The U7's demonstration of body control is the latest demonstration of automotive technology innovation by domestic Chinese brands.
