Blunt-head snake: Strange snake that throws its head to hunt
This snake is found in the Chocoan forest area, northwestern Ecuador, and also in Colombia and Panama.
The blunt-headed wire snake is usually about 1 meter long and lives in trees. They can easily move from one branch to another thanks to their ultra-thin bodies. This strange snake has a huge head, its bulging eyes take up 27% of the total length of the head. The appearance of this ultra-thin snake makes them mistaken for having been starved for a long time.
The blunt-headed rope snake is quite agile and usually active at night. They have a unique talent of throwing their heads to hunt. They use their lighter body to throw their heads and grab their prey. Once it has grabbed its prey, it will immediately inject poison to paralyze the prey and enjoy its meal.
Although small, it can also hunt larger prey.
Their favorite food is small animals like lizards, and they sometimes hunt snakes.
The viper is also harmless to humans and does not actively attack, but its appearance easily makes many people panic.
