According to Business Insider , this weird software error appeared initially in the Netherlands. People who can't send messages say they can still receive messages from others. Initial information shows that this software error only occurs with specific networks (Vodafone and Mobistar) . In addition, at least one Moto X user said he had an error that could not send messages.

No information has been shown to indicate how many users have experienced this error. Some users offer "tips" to fix the error by deleting the international area code (for example, replace +84 by 0).

A user confirmed on the Google support page: "I got this error. The messages sent were not sent to the recipient. According to Vodafone's survey, the operator found that the messages would be sent to power numbers. International phone has area code 111 (causing cost outside the contract) ".

Another user said the error will no longer continue when users downgrade their smartphone to KitKat.

The above error message is reported on Google's Issue Tracker (bug tracking and software issues) page on November 16. Later, Google made a statement to a website in the Netherlands that said the Nexus 6 was also affected. The site claims Google has advised users to postpone updates to 5.0 Lollipop to avoid errors.
