Toughbook CF-AX2 is a rugged design laptop that Panasonic has just introduced at CeBIT 2013 in Hanover, Germany.
Panasonic Toughbook CF-AX2 features an 11.6-inch, 10-inch multi-finger multi-touch screen for 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and a promising battery for an 8-hour working time each time charging. The product has a compact, attractive design for those who frequently move and worry about impact during use.
Inside, the machine is equipped with Intel Core i5 3427U Ivy Bridge processor, Intel HD 4000 graphics core. Despite its compact size, it also provides users with many attractive ports, notably VGA , HDMI, 2 USB 3.0, Ethernet, SD card reader, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection.
It has a bright touch screen, quick response and anti-glare coating. Besides the built-in webcam, the device is equipped with a Windows button that is used when the user folds the switch to tablet mode, which is similar to what Lenovo's Yoga brings. Despite its rugged design, it is unclear why the chassis is made of plastic.
Panasonic Toughbook CF-AX2 was sold for the first time in the Japanese market, before updating other markets this quarter with the price yet to be disclosed.
