Vietnamese female student has 5 scientific articles in the highest ranking group globally

Hoai and his research team members have published 5 scientific articles in the Q1 group (the highest group in the global scientific ranking).

With a research topic on ESG factors (environment, society, governance) in the logistics industry in Vietnam, Nguyen Thi Thu Hoai (student of course K16, Faculty of International Business at FPT University) has just become one of the Vietnamese students participating in a major international scientific conference in India and creating a 'springboard' for her scientific research journey in her future career.

Right from the first days of entering the university, Thu Hoai stood out when she was in the top 10 of SchoolRank (a tool for ranking high school students). Not only did she achieve high results in her school semesters, Thu Hoai also won many major awards in academic competitions such as the top 4 of I-CEE Student Case Competition - an international competition to find creative solutions for real-life business organized by Beijing Foreign Studies University (China).

In addition to his academic achievements, Hoai is also an outstanding student in the field of scientific research - a field that is considered dry and requires a large investment of time and intelligence. During his 4-year journey at FPT University, Hoai and his research group members published 5 scientific articles in the Q1 group (the highest group in the global scientific rankings).

Some of her notable research in the field of economics include:

Income-Dependent Variations in Innovation Performance: Insights from Sustainable Economic Development Indicators, a study of the relationship between income levels and innovation capabilities, providing important perspectives for promoting sustainable economic development (published in the Journal of Open Innovation Technology Market and Complexity);

Assessing Cybersecurity Risks and Prioritizing Top Strategies in Vietnam's Finance and Banking System Using Strategic Decision-Making Models-Based Neutrosophic Sets and Z Number, a study on how to apply decision-making models to identify cybersecurity risks and optimal strategies in the finance and banking industry (published in IEEE Heliyon);

Exploring Complexities of Innovation Capability in Vietnam's IT Firms: Insights from an Integrated MCDM Model-Based Grey Theory, delves into the research of factors affecting the innovation capability of information technology enterprises in Vietnam to enhance global competitiveness (published in the Journal of Open Innovation Technology Market and Complexity).

Hoai's research not only has academic value but also promotes innovation through the approach of advanced methods. Each topic opens up new directions, contributing to improving competitiveness and sustainable development for many economic sectors. These research papers not only mark Hoai's great progress in her academic journey but also open up opportunities for her to present at prestigious international conferences such as GCBSS 2023 (Thailand) and BAMS-ORSI 2024 (India).

Among the international conference trips, Hoai remembers the trip to Mumbai (India) in December 2024 to participate in the BAMS-ORSI 2024 conference. This is an event that brings together prestigious scientists, experts, and scholars from all over the world with topics spanning many fields, from technology, automation to business and sustainable development.

'Presenting my research in front of the entire conference was a challenging but also very proud experience for me. Thanks to careful preparation and practice along with experience from several previous conferences, I was confident in demonstrating my ability in the research presentation,' Hoai recalled.

What makes Hoai most proud of the BAMS-ORSI 2024 conference is that she and all members of her group were the only students to have a topic to report at the conference. 'My friends and I were also the only Vietnamese people at the conference, which further boosted the national spirit to the highest level to have impressive performances before the international scientific council,' Hoai confided.

Despite her many successes, Hoai remains modest when talking about her journey. She admits that the research path is not easy, especially when dealing with complex data volumes and accessing advanced analytical models to complete research sections. However, she always sees those difficulties as opportunities to train herself.

'Studying science not only teaches me how to think but also helps me learn to be patient and solve problems flexibly,' Hoai confided.
