Viber waives international calls for Filipinos

Typhoon Haiyan swept through the Philippines, severely devastating the country with the death toll of 10,000. In this situation, Viber has taken very practical action: allowing users in the Philippines to call overseas phone numbers for free.

Usually, if the recipient does not use Viber, the call will be charged as normal calls. But now, Viber users in the Philippines just need to enter numbers in Viber to make free international calls.

Viber supports free calls to fixed and mobile numbers in several countries, while other countries only have fixed number support. The list of countries supported free of charge from the Philippines is posted on the Viber home page ( not including Vietnam ).
