Virtualization technology is a salient feature of Intel Core 2 Duo processors equipped with Vaio laptops. Sony has not enabled all Vaio laptops' BIOSes to work with Intel's hardware virtualization mode.

Specifically, The Japanese electronics firm will re-enable virtualization technology - Intel VT, supporting the upcoming Windows XP Mode.
Until then users of Vaio Z laptops or other Vaio series will not run XP Mode on Windows 7, that is, the application software that is written for Windows XP will not be installed. and use on Windows 7.
