Top 27 cities with the best quality of life in the world
Mercer - one of the world's largest HR consulting companies - has just released the " Quality of Life " ranking list, which is an annual list of the best quality cities in the world. According to Mercer, this is a way for multinational companies to balance human resources when based in different countries around the world.
Among 450 cities around the world, Mercer has based on the following criteria to determine which city will be among the most livable cities in the world:
- Political and social environment (political stability, crime level, law enforcement).
- Economic environment (exchange currency exchange regulations, banking services).
- Socio-cultural environment (media and censorship regulations, restrictions on personal freedom).
- Health and health services (medical services, infectious diseases, waste water, waste treatment, air pollution).
- Schools and education (with standard schools and international schools).
- Transportation and public services (electricity, water, public transport, traffic congestion).
- Entertainment (restaurants, theaters, cinemas, sports and entertainment).
- Consumer goods (available food / daily consumer goods, cars).
- Housing (rental houses, home appliances, furniture, maintenance services).
- Natural environment (climate, natural disasters).
Mercer has created a list of 230 cities and Business Insider has listed the top 27 most livable cities in the world. Especially the famous cities like New York and London were not included in this list.
