The popular technology products were once 'killed' in 2018
The fierce competition in technology village is the motivation for many new technology products to be launched to replace old products that are no longer suitable. In 2018, users had to say goodbye to Yahoo Messenger, the Asimo robot and a series of older Apple products.
Yahoo Messenger
On July 17, Yahoo Messenger - an iconic chat service for a while, was officially killed. Users cannot access any Yahoo applications or services.
Yahoo Messenger was released in 1998 with the original name of Yahoo Pager. In 2009, this chat service reached 120 million members worldwide. But because it is impossible to compete with many competitors, the computer version of this app has been deactivated between 2016. The version for iOS, Android or via the web browser cannot last for 2 years.

Honda Asimo
In 2000, Honda built the Asimo robot 130 cm high, 54 kg, capable of walking on two feet at a speed of 6 km / h, running, holding hands, flexible voice, face recognition. At the time of its launch, Asimo was considered a technology pioneer robot, but after years of not being upgraded, it gradually got forgotten and eventually "died prematurely" after 18 years.
Google Inbox and Google+
Although still in operation, these two services have received a 'death declaration' from Google, Inbox is from March 2019 and Googe + is from April 2019.
- Google decided to close Google+ four months earlier because it discovered a new vulnerability that left 52 million users leaked
GoPro Karma
GoPro launched Karma - a drone model (drone) to diversify products and increase competition before rivals, like DJI. However, due to the focus on Hero camera cameras, the company stopped producing Karma from early 2018.
Sony PlayStation Vita
In 2011, Sony released Vita, the successor to the PlayStation Portable. This product received a lot of appreciation from the gaming community. But then due to the rise of smartphones and the lack of clear development orientation, this product gradually lost its popularity as before. Finally, Sony decided to stop producing Vita from early 2019.
