While Rust and Conan Exiles are strong contenders in the genre, nothing quite matches the scope and scaryness of DayZ.

Players will begin their adventure at a randomly spawned location, usually near the beach at the southernmost tip. All equipment provided is nothing but a flare, a bandage and clothes on the back. With these, everyone will need to hunt, hide, and survive the numerous enemies of Chernarus.

When entering the world of Chernarus, players can feel overwhelmed.
