Microsoft tops the list of the world's top 100 technology companies

Recently, Thomson Reuters Corp. announced a list of 'Top 100 technology leaders worldwide', led by Microsoft, followed by chip maker Intel and maker of Cisco network equipment .

The list is designed to name the financially successful companies and leading organizations in the industry, indispensable technology giants like Apple, Alphabet, International Business Machines and Texas Instruments in the top 10. Chip manufacturing comes from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, German software maker SAP and Accenture consulting firm are the remaining names in the top 10.

The other 90 companies are not ranked, and there are other big companies in the industry like Amazon online retailer and Facebook social network .

This result is based on 28 algorithms, measuring the performance of the company in terms of finance, management, investment, risk and risk compensation, legal compliance and creativity ( measured by patent activity), people and social responsibility, affecting the environment and reputation (sensitivity when appearing on news, social networks). Companies must have annual revenue of at least $ 1 billion.
