The delay in providing Intel's Core i5 / i7 processor to upgrade to the recent Macbook Pro series has made "Apple" quite frustrating .

Apple has been using Intel chips in their products since 2006 and everything seems to be going quite well. However, according to Appleinsider, Apple is having high-level discussions in research to put into use AMD processors that apply other high technologies to their products.

According to the source, Apple even did more than just discuss on paper. They began conducting AMD chipset tests in their lab.

Many people will doubt the authenticity of this information. However, according to DigiTimes report, the delay in providing Core i5 / i7 processor to upgrade to the recent Macbook Pro series of Intel has made "Apple" quite troublesome. In addition, Apple will have to address Intel's integrated graphics chip in Macbook Pro after a dispute between Intel and Nvidia.

On the other hand, AMD, who has always followed Intel in the processor battle, will treat Apple as a VIP customer. Product prices are also cheaper than Intel's "big man" if "Apple" keeps an eye on it. AMD is also said to own a better "package" graphics solution after acquiring ATI graphics card maker.

Apple has not commented on this information yet.
