Lenovo launched at CES 2012 a hybrid tablet model called IdeaPad Yoga. This hybrid product was developed based on Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system.
IdeaPad Yoga has a weight of 1.5 kg, higher than some current ultrabooks, and is about 15 mm thick. The device runs on Windows 8 operating system, equipped with multi-point capacitive touch screen and can switch between laptop and tablet mode. The screen resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels (but not IPS panel) is considered the highest resolution to date. This screen also supports vivid, detailed, sharp display colors and wide viewing angles. The battery for up to 8 hours of use, while the hinge link for the conversion cycle is about 25,000 times. The keyboard also has a stylish ultrabook IdeaPad U300s design.
According to Lenovo, although the current version is equipped with Intel Core i7 processor, in the near future will be upgraded to the 3rd generation Intel Core version code-named Ivy Bridge. The price of the device is about 1,000 USD and will appear on the market at the end of 2012, after Microsoft officially announced Windows 8 operating system.
